Ingredients

2 pieces of white bread
-
1 egg
-
1.5 tbsp sugar + a little for sprinkling

Milk and cream 120ml each

Raisin
-
Butter
- Mixed Spice
Directions
- Cut the bread into chunks or into pieces of size you desire and put in the baking tray. Put some butter and raisin in between the bread.
Beat egg and sugar.
Warm milk and cream, add to egg slowing while beating to prevent the egg from cooking.
Pour custard mixture to bread. Set aside for a while to let the bread soak up the custard sauce.
Sprinkle sugar and mixed spice on top.
Bake at 180 degree Celsius for 40 min.
Dust with icing sugar and serve. Goes well with vanilla ice cream too!
