Ingredients
-
300g plain flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
-
200g dark brown sugar
-
100g granulated sugar
-
2 sticks salted butter
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions
In a medium bowl combine flour, soda, and salt. Mix well with wire whisk. Set aside.
In a large bowl blend sugars. Add butter and mix to form a grainy paste. Add eggs and vanilla extract, and mix with an electric mixer at medium speed until just blended.
Add in flour mixture and chocolate chips, and blend until just mixed. Do not overmix.
Form the dough into balls with tablespoons on un-greased baking sheet or aluminium foil. Keep in fridge in covered container for at least 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 150 degrees Celsius.
Line baking tray with baking sheet and put dough balls 2 inches apart. Bake for 18-22 minutes or until golden brown. Transfer cookies immediately to a baking rack or cool surface. Cool them down for at least 15 minutes. Done.
